Vinegar Cucumber Salad

Ingredients: 5 tender cucumbers, vinegar, salt, sugar, MSG, and sesame oil (amounts as needed).

Instructions: Wash the cucumbers and cut them into long strips. Marinate for 20 minutes, drain the excess water, and mix well with salt, MSG, vinegar, sesame oil, and a little sugar. Serve as a cold dish.

Ingredients: 1 fresh lotus leaf (about 200g), 100g glutinous rice, and sugar (as needed).

Ingredients: 150g winter melon, 50g coix seed.

Three Fresh Winter Melon

Ingredients: 500g winter melon, 30g cooked ham, 25g bamboo shoots, 25g mushrooms, spring onion, MSG, salt, pepper, chicken stock, cornstarch, sesame oil, lard (amounts as needed).

Instructions: Slice the winter melon and blanch it in boiling water until it is just cooked, then remove it. Cut the cooked ham, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms into thin slices. Heat the lard in a frying pan over medium heat, add the winter melon, ham, bamboo shoots, and mushroom slices and stir-fry them. Then add chicken stock, salt, pepper, MSG, and cook until they are tender and well-flavored. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch, add spring onion, drizzle with sesame oil, and mix well before serving. Enjoy it as a side dish.
