Tea: The Natural Solution for Weight Loss and Office Workers

It can clear heat, promote water circulation, dissolve phlegm, aid digestion, and nourish the spleen and stomach. Oolong tea and Tie Guan Yin are popular teas that people love. After a heavy meal, people often prefer to have a cup of fragrant tea because it helps to relieve the greasiness. This is because tea has the ability to eliminate greasiness.

Some ethnic minority groups have the habit of drinking butter tea and milk tea. Most of them have a diet that is mainly composed of meat, which shows that tea has a significant effect on digestion of meat. Modern research has proven that tea contains caffeine, theophylline, theobromine, volatile oils, vitamin C, quercetin, tannins, and other beneficial substances that can lower blood lipid levels and promote metabolism. It is suitable for people with various types of obesity.

Here are a few types of tea drinks:

(1) Double Black Tea

Ingredients: 5g Oolong tea, 30g Polygonum multiflorum, 20g dried hawthorn, 20g winter melon peel.

Method: Boil Polygonum multiflorum, winter melon peel, and hawthorn together until the hawthorn is soft. Filter the residue and take the liquid. Use this liquid to brew the Oolong tea.

(2) Jade Plate Gourd Tea

Ingredients: 25g Oolong tea, 25g dried lotus leaf, 10g aged gourd, 5g orange peel.

Method: Grind the dried lotus leaf, aged gourd, and orange peel into a fine powder and mix it with the tea leaves. When ready to drink, take a small amount and brew it repeatedly until the tea is light.

(3) Clear Vessel Drink

Ingredients: 50g dried lotus leaf, 5g Oolong tea, 6g luffa peel, 5g watermelon rind.

Method:

① Wrap the dried lotus leaf, luffa peel, watermelon rind, and Oolong tea in a cheesecloth. Soak and rinse in clean water.

② Put 5 cups of water in a pot, add the cheesecloth package, and boil until the water boils. Drink it as a tea substitute.
