The difference between draft beer and matured beer

April 24, 2023
When people eat and socialize, they have to drink, and late night dinners and beer are a perfect match. But there are many types of beer, so here's a look at what the differences are between our common draft and cooked beers.

Different sterilization methods

After the beer is brewed, it is processed at a high temperature to prevent it from deteriorating during transportation, which kills the yeast and bacteria in it. Draft beer is not sterilized, and the wine still contains active yeast, which is draft beer.

Different nutrient content

Raw beer retains its enzymatic activity, which facilitates the decomposition of macromolecules, and is richer in amino acids and soluble proteins, making it more nutritious. Cooked beer, on the other hand, loses some of its nutrients during the high-temperature heating process.

Different Flavors

Cooked beer is processed at high temperatures, which has a greater impact on the taste of beer, while draft beer is not heat-treated, which better preserves the flavor of beer, so many people find draft beer to be better than cooked beer.

Different color

Draft beer is lighter in color and will have better clarity, transparency and a brighter appearance. Ripe beer is a little darker.

Different shelf life

The shelf life of cooked beer is greatly extended by the high-temperature sterilization process, and it can be kept for more than a year after it is sealed. Draft beer, on the other hand, is not sterilized and usually has a shelf life of only 3 days, so it is usually sold as is.
