Dietary Strategies for Yang Deficiency: Tonifying and Strengthening the Body's Defense Function

The so-called Yang deficiency constitution refers to a constitution where the body lacks Yang Qi and has a weak defense function. Its main manifestations include a pale and fat body, pale and dull complexion, sensitivity to cold and preference for warmth, fatigue in the limbs, frequent clear urination, loose stools, pale lips, spontaneous sweating, weak and feeble pulse, and a pale and swollen tongue. The dietary principles for regulating the Yang deficiency constitution are to tonify and strengthen Yang. Ingredients:

15 sparrows, 10g fennel seeds, 10g anise seeds, 9g ginger, 10g garlic, and some cooking oil.

Remove the feathers and internal organs of the sparrows, and deep fry them in hot oil. Put the sparrows (after frying) and the medicinal ingredients into a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil, and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour. Take out the sparrows and consume them. Eat 3-5 sparrows daily, and you will see results in about two weeks.

Medicinal Diet 2: Stewed Lamb with Carrots

Ingredients:

500g lamb, 250g carrots, 3 slices of ginger, 2 tablespoons of Huangjiu (yellow wine), 1 piece of tangerine peel, some vegetable oil, and a little salt and soy sauce.

Preparation:

Wash and slice the carrots. Wash and slice the lamb, then stir-fry them with ginger in hot oil for 5 minutes. Add Huangjiu, soy sauce, salt, and a small amount of cold water. Cook over high heat for 15 minutes, then transfer to a clay pot. Add tangerine peel and 3 bowls of cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for about 2 hours until the meat is tender.

Medicinal Diet 3: Chicken Intestine Pancake

Ingredients:

1 set of chicken intestines, 250g flour, 30ml vegetable oil, 10g scallions, 10g ginger, 15g garlic, and a little salt.

Preparation:

Cut open and wash the chicken intestines. Place them in a dry pan and cook until dry. Grind them into fine powder. Mix the flour with the chicken intestine powder and an appropriate amount of water to form a dough. Cut the scallions, garlic, and ginger into small pieces and add them to the dough. Make pancakes and pan-fry them until cooked.

Effects:

Tonifies the kidneys, reduces urine, and is effective for conditions such as kidney Yang deficiency, inability to retain kidney Qi, excessive nocturnal urination, and enuresis.
