【Ingredients】

10-15 shrimp, 80g rice, 600-800g water, oil as needed, shredded ginger, 1/4 carrot, 2 mushrooms, 50g broccoli, 50g celery, 10g cooking wine, 2g white pepper powder, 2g salt, a little sesame oil

【Instructions】

1. Preparation: Thaw and clean the shrimp, shred the ginger, slice the carrot and mushrooms, dice the celery, and cut the broccoli into small florets. Rinse the rice and put it in a rice cooker with enough water. Cook the porridge.

2. While cooking the porridge, heat a wok with a little oil. Add the shredded ginger and shrimp. Stir-fry over medium heat until the shrimp starts to change color. Add white pepper powder, salt, and cooking wine. Stir well and add the carrot and mushroom slices. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds. You can transfer the mixture to a plate or leave it in the wok to add directly to the porridge later.

3. When the rice cooker has about 20 minutes left in the cooking program, open the lid and add the broccoli, celery, and the previously stir-fried vegetables and shrimp. Continue cooking until the program is completed.

【Nutritional Value】

1. Shrimp contains 20% protein, making it one of the foods with a high protein content. It contains several times more protein than fish, eggs, and milk. Compared to fish, shrimp has a lower content of the essential amino acid valine, but it is still a balanced source of protein.

In addition, shrimp contains glycine, and the higher the content of this amino acid, the sweeter the taste of the shrimp.

2. Compared to fish and poultry meat, shrimp has a lower fat content and almost no animal carbohydrates as an energy source. However, shrimp has a higher cholesterol content.

Shrimp also contains taurine, which can help lower serum cholesterol levels. It is also rich in potassium, iodine, magnesium, phosphorus, and vitamin A.
