Nutritious Yam and Chestnut Chicken Porridge Recipe for Growing Babies

January 22, 2024

As the baby grows older, drinking only milk is no longer enough to meet their energy needs. Moms can try making the Yam and Chestnut Chicken Porridge for their babies!

【Name】

Yam and Chestnut Chicken Porridge

【Ingredients】

Cabbage, yam, chestnut, chicken breast, pepper

1. Cut half a cabbage into shreds, dice one yam, and dice 10 chestnuts.

2. Boil the chicken breast in cold water until cooked, then shred it.

3. Because I'm lazy, I used a rice cooker. Add rice with enough water to immerse it, pour in the same amount of chicken broth as the water, add yam, chestnut, chicken shreds, and ginger shreds to the pot, and cook the porridge for half an hour.

4. Add cabbage shreds and continue cooking for 10 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.

【Tips】

1. When selecting cabbage, choose those with a deep green and bright color, and tight and firm flower buds. They need to be blanched before consumption.

2. Choose long and slender iron stick yams, which have a delicate texture and higher nutritional value compared to regular yams. Regular yams have a crisp texture and are more suitable for stir-frying at home.
