Acne, also known as "youthful pimples," is the most common chronic inflammatory skin disease of the hair follicles and sebaceous glands. It is caused by blockage of the sebaceous gland ducts and poor sebum outflow. After puberty, almost everyone will have acne on their face or other parts of the body, but some people have fewer and shorter episodes, generally tending to heal naturally after the age of 25. In the treatment of acne, medication is the mainstay, but if combined with the following dietary therapy, it can have a very good effect on preventing and quickly promoting symptom disappearance, and accelerating the patient's recovery.
1. Mung Bean and Coix Seed Soup
[Dietary Recipe] 25 grams of mung beans, 25 grams of coix seeds, 10 grams of hawthorn.
[Effect] Suitable for oily skin.
[Method] Wash the ingredients, add 500 grams of water, soak for 30 minutes, bring to a boil, simmer for a few minutes, then turn off the heat without uncovering, let it steep for 15 minutes, and drink as tea.
[Usage] 3-5 times a day.
2. Fruit and Vegetable Mung Bean Drink
[Dietary Recipe] Small cabbage, celery, bitter gourd, bell pepper, lemon, apple, and mung beans, as needed.
[Effect] Has the effect of clearing heat, detoxifying, and killing bacteria.
[Method] First boil the mung beans for 30 minutes, filter the juice; wash the small cabbage, celery, bitter gourd, bell pepper, and apple, cut them into sections or pieces, blend them and add the mung bean juice, then add lemon juice and honey for taste.
[Usage] 1-2 times a day.
3. Kelp and Mung Bean Soup
[Dietary Recipe] 15 grams of kelp, 15 grams of mung beans, 9 grams of sweet almonds, 6 grams of rose petals, and an appropriate amount of brown sugar.
[Effect] Clears heat, relieves irritability, promotes urination, and detoxifies.
[Method] Wrap the rose petals in a cloth and cook them together with the other ingredients. After removing the rose petals, add brown sugar and consume.
[Usage] 1 dose per day for 30 consecutive days.
4. Coix Seed and Kelp Double Nut Congee
[Dietary Recipe] 15 grams of coix seeds, 15 grams of wolfberries, 15 grams of peach kernels, 10 grams of kelp, 10 grams of sweet almonds, 20 grams of mung beans, and 80 grams of glutinous rice.
[Effect] Has the effects of clearing heat, detoxifying, reducing inflammation, promoting blood circulation, removing stasis, nourishing yin, and moisturizing the skin.
[Method] Steep the peach kernels and sweet almonds in water and extract the juice. Add the coix seeds, kelp powder, wolfberries, and glutinous rice to cook the congee together.
[Usage] 2 times a day.
5. Wolfberry Anti-inflammatory Congee
[Dietary Recipe] 30 grams of wolfberries, 100 grams of pigeon meat, 100 grams of glutinous rice, and an appropriate amount of salt, monosodium glutamate, and sesame oil.
[Effect] Has the function of detoxification, dispelling evil, nourishing yin, and moisturizing the skin.
[Method] Wash the pigeon meat and chop it into minced meat; wash the wolfberries and glutinous rice, put them in a casserole, add the pigeon meat and an appropriate amount of water, simmer the congee over low heat, and when the congee is ready, add salt, monosodium glutamate, and sesame oil, mix well.
[Usage] 1 dose per day, divided into 2 servings, 5-8 doses for one course of treatment.
7. Hawthorn and Peach Kernel Congee
[Dietary Recipe] Hawthorn, peach kernels, lotus leaves, and glutinous rice in appropriate amounts.
[Effect] Suitable for acne caused by phlegm and stagnation.
[Method] First cook the first three ingredients into a soup, remove the residue, then add glutinous rice to cook the congee.
