Carrots contain a rich amount of Vitamin A and beta-carotene. Vitamin A helps protect vision, mucous membranes, and skin. Therefore, using carrots as a complementary food for babies is very beneficial.
A few suitable recipes for babies
1. Carrot Milk
Ingredients: 1/4 carrot, 1 tablespoon formula milk, water as needed
Instructions:
(1) Peel and cut the carrot into small pieces;
(2) Pour water into a pot and immerse the carrot. Boil for 5 minutes;
(3) Take out 40ml of carrot water and mix it with formula milk.
2. Carrot Porridge
Ingredients: 2 small pieces of carrot, formula milk as needed, 50ml water, 15g rice
Instructions:
(1) Prepare the formula milk and pour it into a blender;
(2) Add the carrot pieces and rice;
(3) Blend until smooth.
3. Carrot Beef Stew
Ingredients: 1/3 carrot, 50g beef
Instructions:
(1) Peel the carrot and shred it. Cut the beef into slices, marinate with cooking wine and cornstarch;
(2) Heat oil in a pan, stir-fry onion and ginger until fragrant, then add the beef and stir-fry until 70% cooked. Remove from the pan;
(3) Stir-fry the carrot in the same pan until cooked, cover and simmer for a while, then add the beef slices and continue stir-frying until the beef turns dark. Season lightly and serve.
