The key to preventing baby heat rash is to keep the skin dry and clean. Here are a few points for moms to consider.
Do not let the child stay in excessively hot environments or play in the sun. When the temperature is high, the child will inevitably sweat a lot, which is the most important cause of baby heat rash.
During hot weather, it is recommended to give the baby 1-2 baths a day. After the child sweats, it is important to change their clothes promptly to keep the skin clean and dry. Once heat rash appears, do not use irritating alkaline soaps during bath time, and the water temperature should be around 38-42℃. After bathing, dry the baby immediately and apply a suitable amount of baby powder.
Reduce the number of times you hold the baby and try to let the baby play alone to avoid transferring the body temperature of adults to the baby. Keep the indoor environment well-ventilated and cool.
Do not let the baby sleep on a plastic sheet or non-breathable diaper to prevent moisture and heat from being trapped, which can irritate the skin and cause heat rash. The clothes worn by the baby should be cool and loose, made of sweat-absorbent and breathable thin cotton fabric, and should be changed frequently.
Drink plenty of water and regularly consume green bean soup or other refreshing drinks. Avoid consuming greasy and spicy foods.
