There are currently two types of reed pipe moxibustion devices in use. One type is a single-section reed pipe moxibustion device, with a diameter of 0.4-0.6 centimeters and a length of 5-6 centimeters. One end of the reed pipe is shaped like half a duck's beak, and the other end is sealed with adhesive tape for insertion into the ear canal for moxibustion. The other type is a two-section reed pipe moxibustion device, with one section containing moxa wool and a larger diameter of 0.8-1 centimeters, shaped like a duck's beak and 4 centimeters long. The other section is inserted into the ear canal, with a smaller diameter of 0.5-0.6 centimeters and a length of 3 centimeters. This section is inserted into the opening of the moxa wool section to create a moxibustion device, hence the name two-section moxibustion device. The section inserted into the ear canal is fixed with adhesive tape for moxibustion.
