Acupuncture therapy is quite common in the medical treatment of the She ethnic group. The acupuncture therapy of She medicine is different from traditional Chinese acupuncture, as it focuses on specific areas rather than specific acupoints, and mostly uses triangular needles. The most commonly used acupuncture techniques are the "Bagua needle" in the front and back of the heart and certain needle techniques in modern acupuncture, which involve strong stimulation and do not require needle retention. Only a very small number of patients with severe conditions would have needle retention. Another ethnic group, the Oroqen people, also has a similar acupuncture therapy called "Gideren" in their language. They also focus on specific areas rather than specific acupoints and use sewing needles. In clinical practice, they use needle stimulation on the upper and lower sides of the navel for abdominal pain, and "Gongxinfan" technique for needle stimulation on the chest and back.
