The Four Stitch Therapy is a method used to treat pediatric malnutrition by puncturing the Four Stitch Acupoints. This technique is highly targeted and only applicable to pediatrics, rarely used in other medical disciplines, and specifically for pediatric malnutrition, with limited application for other conditions.
【Procedure】
1. Disinfect the area of the Four Stitch Acupoints (located at the transverse lines in the second joint of the index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger) with 75% alcohol.
2. Use a triangular needle (disinfected) to puncture the Four Stitch Acupoints.
3. After puncturing, squeeze out yellow-white transparent mucus from the needle hole.
【Indications】
This method is suitable for pediatric malnutrition. It is particularly effective for cases where worm infestation has transformed into malnutrition, with functions of expelling worms, eliminating accumulation, and regulating the spleen and stomach.
【Precautions】
1. This method should not be used for conditions other than malnutrition.
2. For children with malnutrition who are experiencing fever or other acute illnesses, the Four Stitch therapy should be temporarily suspended and resumed after the acute illness has subsided.
3. When puncturing the Four Stitch Acupoints, attention should be paid to disinfection and adherence to proper operating procedures.
4. Within 7 days after treatment, the patient should consume easily digestible and nutritious food, while avoiding hard-to-digest food.
