1. Moxibustion with a Moxa Tube
A moxa tube is made by connecting an inner tube and an outer tube, both made of thick 2-5mm iron or copper plates. Both the inner and outer tubes have holes around them, and the top of the outer tube can be removed to insert moxa. There is a handle installed in the middle wall of the outer tube for easy operation.
Method of operation: ① Inserting moxa: Open the top cover of the outer tube and insert moxa into the inner tube, about 2/3 full. ② Ignite and preheat: Ignite the moxa in the center of the inner tube and let it burn vigorously outdoors. When the bottom of the tube becomes hot, cover it with the top cover and take it back for application. ③ Moxibustion: Place several layers of cotton cloth on the acupoint, and use the bottom of the moxa tube to apply heat to the acupoint. The heat should be gentle and not scorching. If it's too hot, increase the number of cloth layers; if it's not hot enough, reduce the number of cloth layers. Alternatively, the cloth can be removed and the moxa tube can be held by the handle and rotated above the acupoint for smoking moxibustion.
2. Moxibustion with a Moxa Stand
Method of operation: ① Ignite the moxa stick and insert it into the top hole of the moxa stand, aligning it with the selected acupoint, and secure it with a rubber band. ② Moxibustion
