The Foot Yangming Bladder Meridian is the longest meridian in the human body, and the acupoints on this meridian are very important. The symptoms associated with the organs and limbs connected to this meridian include diseases of the head, neck, eyes, lower back, and the posterior part of the lower limbs. Let's take a look at the diagram of the Foot Yangming Bladder Meridian.
Diagram of the Foot Yangming Bladder Meridian
It starts at the inner canthus (Jingming acupoint) and converges at the vertex (Baihui acupoint, belonging to the Du meridian).
Branches from the vertex: From the top of the head to the temporal region.
Straight branch from the vertex: From the top of the head, it enters the brain and then exits to separate and descend. It runs along the inside of the scapula, along the spine, and reaches the lower back. It enters the body cavity through the muscles beside the spine, connects with the kidneys, and belongs to the bladder meridian.
Branches at the lower back: Descends through the buttocks and enters the popliteal fossa.
Branches in the posterior region: Descend straight along the inner edge of the scapula, pass through the buttocks (Huantiao, belonging to the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian), and run along the outer side of the thigh. They merge with the branches coming down from the lower back at the popliteal fossa. From there, they continue downward, pass through the gastrocnemius muscle, exit behind the lateral malleolus, and run along the prominence of the 5th metatarsal bone to the lateral end of the little toe (Zhiyin acupoint), where they connect with the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian.
