About 85% to 90% of our hair is in the growth phase, while about 10% to 14% is in the resting phase, and only 1% is in the regression phase. The growth phase typically lasts for three years, the regression phase lasts for about three weeks, and the resting phase lasts for about three months. Therefore, under normal circumstances, it is considered normal to lose 50 to 100 strands of hair per day, as there are hairs in the resting phase that are ready to be shed.

With so much hair loss each day, why does our hair still appear thick?

This is because our bodies undergo a process of renewal every day. Even though we lose a significant amount of hair, new hair continues to grow, meaning that the number of hairs lost is replaced by new ones. Therefore, our hair doesn't all fall out at once. However, in order to minimize hair loss, it is advisable to reduce the frequency of washing hair. Washing hair too frequently can cause damage to the hair.

Hair loss is also closely related to nutrition and mental stress. It is important to pay attention to a balanced diet and consume foods rich in protein and essential nutrients.
