Braised Tofu: 3 Delicious Methods to Satisfy Your Cravings!

  You must have eaten the home-cooked dish Braised Tofu before! Has anyone still remember its taste vividly? Today, I will teach you several methods of cooking Braised Tofu to soothe your stomach.
 


 

  Braised Tofu – Method 1

  Ingredients: 300g tofu, 30g carrots, 30g black fungus, 30g sweet pea pods, 10g garlic sprouts, 1 red chili pepper, 1 small piece of ginger, 1 clove of garlic, appropriate amount of starch.

  Seasoning: 30g cooking oil, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp oyster sauce, 2 tbsp chicken broth, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp monosodium glutamate, etc.

  Procedure:

  1. Slice the tofu and fry it in a pan until both sides turn golden brown.

  2. Slice the carrots and black fungus, cut the garlic sprouts into diagonal pieces, cut the red chili pepper into segments, and slice the ginger and garlic cloves for later use.

  3. Heat oil in a pan, stir-fry the garlic slices, ginger slices, and red chili pepper segments until fragrant. Then add chicken broth, oyster sauce, and white sugar. After boiling, add tofu slices, black fungus slices, carrot slices, sweet pea pods, garlic sprout segments, salt, and monosodium glutamate. Cook for 3 minutes, thicken with water starch, and drizzle with sesame oil before serving.

  Characteristics: Crispy, tender, refreshing, and nutritious; easy to cook; using brine tofu will make the dish even better.

  Braised Tofu – Method 2
 


 

  Ingredients: 1/4 piece of tender tofu, 15g sweet peas, 1/4 red bell pepper, 1 fresh mushroom, 1 spring onion, 100cc vegetable broth, salt, 1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce, appropriate amount of seasoning sauce.

  Procedure:

  1. Wash the fresh mushroom and slice it, wash the red bell pepper and cut it into pieces. Blanch the sweet peas and salt in boiling water, then immediately remove and rinse with cold water until cool. Wash the spring onion and cut it into sections for later use.

  2. Blanch the tender tofu in boiling water, then rinse with cold water and let it cool. Cut it into 3x3x1 cm pieces for later use.

  3. Take a pot and add vegetable broth and vegetarian oyster sauce. Bring to a boil, add the tofu from step 2, and simmer for about 2 minutes. Then add the ingredients from step 1 and cook evenly.

  Braised Tofu – Method 3

  Ingredients:

  800g tofu, 100g vegetable oil, 20g water starch, 20g green onions, 20g ginger, 8g soy sauce, 4g peppercorns, 3g star anise, 2g salt, 1g monosodium glutamate.

  Procedure:

  1. Cut the tofu into 2 cm square pieces and fry them in hot oil until golden brown. Cut the green onions into sections and shred the ginger for later use.

  2. Heat oil in a frying pan, add green onion sections, shredded ginger, star anise, and peppercorns. Add soy sauce and salt. Put the fried tofu into the pan and simmer for 20 minutes. Thicken with water starch and serve.
