Delicious Ways to Cook Red-Braised Tofu

Red-braised tofu is a common dish that many people have tried before. Do you still remember its taste? Today, I will teach you a few ways to cook red-braised tofu to satisfy your taste buds.


Red-braised Tofu - Method 1

Ingredients: 300g tofu, 30g carrots, 30g black fungus, 30g sugar snap peas, 10g garlic sprouts, 1 red chili pepper, 1 small piece of ginger, 1 clove of garlic, some starch.

Seasonings: 30g cooking oil, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons broth, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate, etc.

Procedure:

1. Slice the tofu and fry it in a pan until both sides turn golden brown.

2. Slice the carrots and black fungus, cut the garlic sprouts diagonally, cut the red chili pepper into sections, and slice the garlic and ginger.

3. Heat oil in a pan, stir-fry the garlic, ginger, and red chili pepper. Then add broth, oyster sauce, and sugar. Once boiling, add tofu slices, black fungus slices, carrot slices, sugar snap peas, garlic sprout segments, salt, and monosodium glutamate, and cook for 3 minutes. Thicken the sauce with water starch, and drizzle sesame oil on top.

Characteristics: Crispy, tender, and nutritious; easy to cook; using brined tofu will yield better results.

Red-braised Tofu - Method 2


Ingredients: 1/4 block of tender tofu, 15g sugar snap peas, 1/4 red bell pepper, 1 fresh shiitake mushroom, 1 green onion, 100cc vegetable broth, salt, 1 tablespoon vegetarian oyster sauce, some vegetarian seasoning sauce.

Procedure:

1. Wash the shiitake mushroom and slice it. Wash the red bell pepper and cut it into pieces. Blanch the sugar snap peas and sugar snap peas in boiling water with salt, then immediately remove and cool them with cold water. Wash the green onion and cut it into sections.

2. Blanch the tender tofu in boiling water, then cool and cut it into 3x3x1cm pieces.

3. Take a pot and add vegetable broth and vegetarian oyster sauce. Bring to a boil, then add the tofu from step 2. Cook over low heat for about 2 minutes, then add the ingredients from step 1 and cook evenly.

Red-braised Tofu - Method 3

Ingredients: 800g tofu, 100g vegetable oil, 20g water starch, 20g spring onion, 20g ginger, 8g soy sauce, 4g Sichuan peppercorn, 3g star anise, 2g salt, 1g monosodium glutamate.

Procedure:

1. Cut the tofu into 2cm cubes and deep fry until golden brown. Cut the spring onion into sections and slice the ginger.

2. Heat oil in a wok, add the spring onion, ginger, star anise, and Sichuan peppercorn. Add soy sauce and salt. Place the fried tofu in the wok and simmer for 20 minutes. Thicken the sauce with water starch, and serve.
