  If the human body ingests a large amount of trivalent chromium for a long time, it can affect the body's antioxidant system, making it prone to chronic oxidative diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Third, it damages the digestive system. Ingesting or long-term contact with chromic acid salts can easily cause gastritis, gastric ulcers, and intestinal ulcers. Excessive intake of hexavalent chromium can also lead to renal failure and even cancer.
