Presbyopia

When we talk about "presbyopia," we refer to the situation where older people gradually have difficulties in reading or working at close distances. This is a phenomenon of the body's aging process.

In medical terms, presbyopia is also known as "old sight." It is more common in people over 40 years old. The lens hardens and loses elasticity, the ciliary muscle weakens, leading to reduced accommodation and a shift in the near point, resulting in difficulties in seeing objects at close distances. This phenomenon is called presbyopia.

Treatment methods for presbyopia in Traditional Chinese Medicine

  1. Apple + Egg

Ingredients: 1 apple, 1 pomelo, 1 egg, 200 ml of milk, 10 ml of honey.

Preparation: Cut the apple and pomelo into small pieces and juice them together using a juicer. Set aside the mixed juice. Beat the egg in a bowl and mix well.

Pour the milk into a pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Add the beaten egg and boil it. Then, while it's still hot, add the mixed juice and honey, and stir well. This beverage can be consumed in the morning and evening.

  2. Chinese wolfberry + Egg

Preparation: Beat the two eggs evenly and add washed Chinese wolfberry. Then add warm boiled water and salt, and stir well.

Steam the mixture in a pot. After the water boils, wait for three minutes. Alternatively, wash the Chinese wolfberry and boil it with water, peel the cooked eggs, put them in the soup, and cook. After it's done, eat the eggs and drink the soup.

Efficacy: Chinese wolfberry can protect and nourish the retinal tissue, increase the content of vitamin C in the retinal tissue, and enhance vision. Chinese wolfberry also improves the body's immune system, lowers blood sugar, and reduces cholesterol in the blood. Beat the eggs and add cooking wine and salt. Mix well. Heat some oil in a pan, stir-fry until cooked, and set aside.

Add a little oil to the pan, add chopped green onion, stir-fry until fragrant, add the carrot strips, and stir-fry. Add the previously stir-fried eggs, transfer to a plate, and serve.
