Methods to Get Rid of Mites

Mites are a type of arthropod[mite] characterized by their small size. They typically have a head, thorax, and abdomen that are not clearly segmented, with prominent mouthparts at the anterior end. They have four pairs of legs on their abdomen. There are many species of mites that parasitize underground, on the ground, in mountains, in water, and on humans or other living organisms, causing various diseases or harm to crops.

Mites are a type of arthropod with a small body size that live on or in the bodies of humans or animals, feeding on blood and capable of transmitting diseases. "Scabies mites" belong to the mite family.

  1. Pay attention to personal hygiene, regularly wash your hair, take showers, and change clothes.

  2. Regularly clean the living environment thoroughly, including various textiles, furniture, floors, books, air conditioning filters, etc. Bed sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, and other items should be regularly washed with water at temperatures above 55°C or washed with professional detergents that can remove mites, in order to eliminate mites and other allergens.

  3. Choose bedding made of fabrics that have mite-resistant properties, which can isolate mites and the shed skin flakes of the human body, causing mites to lose their food source and die. In addition, mite corpses and their excrement cannot enter the air through the mite-resistant fabric, thereby avoiding allergic reactions.

Special reminder: If your baby has allergies, please use washable bedding and dry them at high temperatures after washing. Do not sunbathe the quilt and do not beat it to prevent dust and mite corpses and excrement from flying or floating on the surface of the quilt, exacerbating your baby's allergies.

  4. Clean your baby's plush toys regularly. Boil them in hot water and then let them dry completely in the sun.

  5. Reduce the use of fabric carpets, clean them regularly, and clean them immediately when food residue is found. If necessary, remove the carpet. If you need to create a play space for your baby and must use a carpet, it is recommended to use an easy-to-clean and environmentally friendly mat.

  6. Try to choose home furnishings made of wood, ceramic tiles, plastic, or leather surfaces. The floor should preferably be a washable wooden floor to avoid the accumulation of dust mites.

  7. Keep the bathroom clean and dry. Clean up any standing water on the floor after bathing and open the windows for ventilation. Clean the kitchen immediately after meals and do not leave food residue or oil stains on the countertop overnight. Clean and disinfect regularly. Don't forget to clean the refrigerator as well.

  8. Maintain proper hygiene for pets, clean the room, purify the air, and wash your hands after contact with pets. If your baby already has allergic symptoms, mothers need to consider temporarily boarding the pets elsewhere.
