Reducing Radiation from Computers: Effective Strategies for a Healthier Work Environment

Place the computer in a well-ventilated area

Be mindful of where you place your computer and the ventilation in the room. Do not position the back of the computer towards people, as the back of the computer screen emits stronger radiation. Additionally, computer screens can produce a carcinogen called brominated biphenyl furan, so it is best to have an exhaust fan or ventilation system installed in the room where the computer is placed.

Adjust the brightness of the computer screen

Be mindful of the brightness of the screen and the distance when using the computer. Adjust the brightness of the screen accordingly, as the higher the brightness, the stronger the electromagnetic radiation. However, it should not be too dark, as that can cause eye fatigue. Maintain a distance of at least 50 to 75 centimeters to reduce the harm of electromagnetic radiation. If possible, install a computer-specific filter on the screen to reduce the harm of radiation, and ensure the fluorescent screen is kept clean.

Wash your face every three hours at work

Most people are accustomed to "working with computers at the office and relaxing on the internet at home," but few realize that the computer is actually a "gentle knife" that secretly ages people. After prolonged contact with the computer, static electricity can attract airborne dust, making the face dirtier and more prone to acne. Therefore, it is recommended to wash your face every 3 hours of computer use, using clean water to pat and wash your face. In addition to cleaning the face, it is also advisable to wipe the screen with a clean, lint-free cloth before turning on the computer each day to reduce the chances of dust adhering to and floating in the air.


Include foods with anti-radiation properties in your diet

Incorporate foods with anti-radiation properties into your diet, such as cruciferous vegetables like rapeseed, green vegetables, mustard greens, cabbage, and radishes. Black sesame seeds enhance the body's cellular and humoral immune functions and can effectively protect human health. Purple amaranth has anti-radiation, anti-mutation, and antioxidant properties. The tea polyphenols in green tea are anti-radiation substances that can mitigate the adverse effects of various types of radiation on the human body. Tea leaves also contain polysaccharides, which can improve hematopoiesis and increase platelets and white blood cells. Fresh fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins A, B complex, C, and E, all of which can reduce the impact of electromagnetic radiation on the human body.

Place plants on the computer desk

Place a plant or water near the computer desk to absorb the electromagnetic waves emitted by the computer. The best anti-radiation plants are cacti or succulents, as they have a "unique function" of absorbing electromagnetic radiation and reducing the harm of computers to human health. The cactus family has thick stems with spikes and high water content, making it easy to absorb and neutralize the electromagnetic field radiation toxins in the surrounding environment, reducing indoor and outdoor pollution and benefiting human health.
