Bathing is a common everyday activity, but doing it right can promote good health, while doing it wrong can harm the body. Have you been doing it right?

Bathing for Good Health

1. Pay Attention to Ventilation

The cold winter wind can be quite chilling. When people take a bath, they often feel cold because they are not wearing clothes and their bodies are wet. They tremble as soon as the wind blows.

Therefore, in winter, the hot steam from the hot water used for bathing can cause people to suffocate and faint due to lack of oxygen.

2. Be Mindful of Timing

Nowadays, many people have electric water heaters at home, and they are reluctant to come out before using up all the hot water.

This is not a good habit. Not only does it waste water, but prolonged bathing can also dehydrate your body. You may notice that after a certain period of time, the skin on your fingers becomes wrinkled. This is a sign of dehydration.

3. Pay Attention to Water Temperature

Everyone is afraid of the cold in winter, especially when taking a bath. Many people like to use very hot water. Indeed, if the water temperature is high, you won't feel too cold immediately after taking a bath. However, excessively high water temperature can harm your skin.

On one hand, blood vessels dilate, which accelerates the evaporation of body water and causes the skin to become drier. Moreover, if the water temperature is too high, it can increase the burden on your heart, ultimately leading to oxygen deficiency in the heart.

What to Pay Attention to When Bathing

Many women like to put on makeup after bathing, thinking that their skin will be cleaner and makeup will look better.

In fact, after bathing, the pores of the body are in an expanded state and the pH balance of the skin is disrupted. Applying makeup immediately can harm the skin. Makeup products can easily penetrate the pores, causing skin allergies or discomfort.

It can also increase the chance of certain bacterial infections, leading to skin inflammation.

It is recommended to wait for about an hour after bathing before applying makeup. This reduces the harm to the skin.
