Unlocking the Benefits of Winter Sunbathing: Enhancing Blood Circulation and Treating Osteoporosis

December 7, 2023

Research has shown that sunbathing in winter can greatly benefit the blood circulation of the skin and internal organs, as well as improve hematopoietic function in the body. It is particularly effective in treating osteoporosis in elderly individuals.

Experts suggest that there are two optimal time periods for sunbathing during the day: one is from 6 am to 10 am, and the other is from 4 pm to 5 pm. It is important to note that regardless of the season, it is best to avoid prolonged sun exposure between 10 am and 4 pm, especially from 12 pm to 4 pm, as the UV rays in the sunlight can damage the skin.

Furthermore, in terms of time duration, healthy individuals should aim to sunbathe for 30 to 60 minutes each day. It is recommended to wear red clothing while sunbathing, followed by white, and avoid wearing black.
