Unlocking the Benefits: The Power of Armpit Massage

December 5, 2023

The armpit, commonly known as the "axilla," is located below the shoulder, in the hollow area between the upper arm and the chest. It serves as a pathway for blood vessels and nerves between the neck and the upper limb, and is a collection point for the axillary artery, vein, brachial plexus, and axillary lymph nodes.

Pressing the armpit can help relax muscles, harmonize qi and blood, and slow down aging.

Firstly, it can significantly increase lung capacity, ensuring smooth blood flow throughout the body and facilitating efficient gas exchange in the respiratory system;

Secondly, it can help eliminate uric acid, urea, inorganic salts, and excess water from the body, enhancing urinary function and promoting the health of the reproductive organs and cells;

Thirdly, it can make the sensory organs of the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin more sensitive to external stimuli. Massaging the armpits once in the morning and once in the evening between couples not only aids digestion, invigorates the spleen, and increases appetite, but also prevents and treats impotence and coldness in the genitals.

Pressing the armpit is simple and easy to do. When self-massaging, cross your arms in front of your chest, with your left hand pressing the right armpit and your right hand pressing the left armpit. Use your wrist strength to rhythmically and gently pinch and grasp the muscles under the armpits for 3 to 5 minutes, once in the morning and once in the evening. Avoid applying excessive force. Couples can simultaneously massage each other's armpits, with one taking turns to massage for 3 minutes.
