Tips for Responsible Drinking: Eat First, Drink Slowly, and Opt for Honey Water

First, eat before drinking. At the beginning of drinking, consume some greasy foods like chicken and roast goose. These high-protein, high-fat foods can hinder the absorption of alcohol. As a result, less ethanol enters the bloodstream, making it less likely for a person to get immediately intoxicated. When drinking, do so slowly and avoid drinking in one gulp. Alcohol can be absorbed into the bloodstream within 5 minutes. Drinking too quickly will increase the concentration of alcohol in the blood, leading to quick intoxication. If already drunk, the most convenient and simple method is to drink honey water, as honey contains mostly fructose. After drinking alcohol, it is not advisable to consume strong tea. Instead, one can drink weak tea, which has a diuretic effect and can promote the elimination of alcohol without putting too much strain on the heart.
