Tips for a Balanced Diet during Pregnancy at the Office

December 12, 2023

Many expectant mothers continue to work before giving birth, so they eat around their office for meals. So, how can we ensure a balanced diet during this time without affecting the baby's health? Here are a few things to pay attention to for pregnant women.

Avoid fried foods: The fried foods outside may use cooking oil that has been used multiple times. This repeatedly boiled oil contains many harmful substances that pregnant mothers should stay away from.

Refuse heavily flavored foods: The dishes eaten when dining out are often not moderately seasoned. Pregnant women should eat less salty food to prevent water and sodium retention in the body, which can cause high blood pressure or swollen feet.

Eat fruit after meals: In order to supplement the insufficient intake of fresh vegetables, it is best for pregnant women to eat a piece of fruit 30 minutes after lunch to replenish the lack of vitamins in the body. If it is inconvenient to wash fruit in the office, pregnant women can clean the fruit before leaving home in the morning and wrap it in plastic wrap to bring to the company.

Carry packaged milk: Pregnant working women who eat out need to supplement their calcium intake. Bringing milk to the office for drinking is a good choice. If there is no microwave in the office for heating, don't forget to choose milk that has been pasteurized and sterilized.

Choose beverages carefully: Beverages should be selected such as mineral water and pure fruit juice, and beverages containing caffeine or alcohol are not beneficial during pregnancy, so it is best not to choose them.
