Shanzhong

Location: On the midline of the sternum, in the middle of the two nipples.

Explanation of efficacy: It can improve symptoms such as insufficient milk secretion, abdominal distension, chest pain, cough, and asthma. Rugen acupoint is an important acupoint for treating postpartum insufficient lactation. Massaging this acupoint can promote meridian circulation, regulate qi, and promote milk secretion by unblocking local qi and blood.

Dabao

Location: On the lateral chest, on the mid-axillary line, at the 6th intercostal space.

Massage technique: Press down moderately with the fingertip or knuckle, and make circular clockwise motions. Apply moderate pressure, until there is a slight soreness and mild warmth in the local area.

Explanation of efficacy: This acupoint is the main collateral of the spleen, connecting and regulating the yin and yang meridians. It is named Dabao because it can treat breast pain, intercostal neuralgia, etc.

Qimen

Location: Directly below the nipple when lying on the back, at the 6th intercostal space.

Massage technique: Sit or lie down, use the middle finger pad to press and rub the Qimen acupoint in a clockwise direction for 2-3 minutes. Apply moderate pressure, until there is a slight soreness and mild warmth in the local area.

Explanation of efficacy: Qimen acupoint is the meeting point of the Foot Taiyin, Foot Shaoyin, and Yinwei meridians. It belongs to the liver meridian and is an important acupoint for the liver. This acupoint has the functions of resolving stasis, regulating emotions, and promoting milk secretion. It can treat breast pain, chest and rib distention and pain, etc.

Shaoze

Location: Slightly clench the fist, palm facing downwards, extend the little finger, and take the acupoint 0.1 inch beside the corner of the nail on the radial side of the little finger's distal phalanx.

Massage technique: Press down moderately with the fingertip or finger pad, and make circular motions. Apply moderate pressure, until there is a slight soreness and mild warmth in the local area.

Explanation of efficacy: This acupoint is the Jing well acupoint of the Five Transport Points, and it has good effects in the treatment of diseases in the gynecology and obstetrics system, such as mastitis and insufficient milk secretion.
