March 3, 2024

Hepatic cirrhosis is a common chronic disease that affects the whole body and is caused by various reasons. It is more common in males aged 20-50 and is often associated with viral hepatitis, alcoholism, and certain parasitic infections. Patients with cirrhosis often experience discomfort and pain in the liver area, general weakness, loss of appetite, fatigue, and weight loss. Therefore, prevention and treatment of cirrhosis should be approached from various aspects. Below, we will introduce two methods to promote liver health and protect the liver through diet and massage.

1. Licorice Tea

Ingredients: 20g of licorice, approximately 1 liter of water. Soak the licorice in boiling water and drink it as a substitute for tea.

Benefits: Licorice contains effective components such as glycyrrhizic acid, which has a hepatoprotective effect. It also prevents viruses from entering liver cells by changing cell membrane permeability, thus exerting antiviral effects. In addition, it can concentrate in liver cells to inhibit hepatitis B virus, making it effective in the treatment of hepatitis B. Licorice tea can be consumed when working overtime, feeling tired, or before drinking alcohol. Drinking it a few times a week not only serves as a refreshing beverage, but also helps promote liver health, killing two birds with one stone.
