February 24, 2024

Eye fatigue is a common eye disease that causes dry, gritty, and sore eyes, blurred vision, and even decreased vision, directly affecting people's work and daily life. Eye fatigue is mainly caused by reduced blinking when people are fully focused on looking at computer screens, resulting in decreased tear production and intense stimulation from flickering screens. It can cause pain in the neck, shoulders, and other corresponding areas, and can also trigger and worsen various eye diseases.

For today's working class, symptoms such as headaches, insomnia, and eye fatigue often occur. These symptoms are caused by work factors and poor lifestyle habits. Therefore, we should seek simple and effective methods to alleviate these symptoms. Traditional Chinese medicine experts recommend three key acupoints to help you solve these problems. Pressing these acupoints regularly can promote health and strengthen the body. The methods are simple and can be done during rest time or before going to bed.

Allow Your Eyes to Rest

The best way to alleviate eye fatigue is to let your eyes rest, which is simpler than you think. You can close your eyes while making phone calls. If you don't need to read or write anything, you can close your eyes and rest during a conversation.

Practice Yoga

Yoga not only provides insights into the depths of the soul, but also is a good method for restoring vision.

Apply Warm Tea Bags to the Eyes

Soak a towel in warm Chinese mugwort tea, lie down, and place the warm towel on your eyes for 10-15 minutes. This will relieve eye fatigue, but be careful not to let the tea get into your eyes. Also, let the Chinese mugwort tea cool down before soaking the towel.

Apply Heat to the Eyes with Your Hands

Rub your hands together until they become warm. Then, close your eyes and cover your eye sockets with your palms, without putting pressure on your eyes. Breathe deeply and imagine darkness. Doing this for 20 minutes every day can help relieve eye fatigue.
