The stomach is the key to digesting food, and its importance is self-evident. Therefore, it is crucial to prevent stomach diseases and learn how to take care of the stomach. Today, I will recommend three acupressure methods and stomach-nourishing foods that can help improve stomach health!

[Massage these three acupressure points for stomach health]

1. Zhongwan Acupoint

Located about four finger-widths above the belly button, the Zhongwan acupoint is an important area for treating gastrointestinal diseases. Massaging this acupoint can have a good effect on nourishing the stomach.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, food stagnation in the stomach and intestines is also an important cause of stomach problems. Therefore, for gastrointestinal disorders caused by overeating, massaging the Zhongwan acupoint can promote digestion and protect the stomach.

2. Waiguan Acupoint

Located about two inches above the transverse wrist crease on the inner and outer sides of the arm, the Waiguan acupoint is an important point on the Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao meridian. About half an hour before meals, patients with poor stomach conditions can massage the Waiguan acupoint in a clockwise direction to effectively promote the secretion of digestive enzymes in the stomach, thus improving food digestion.

When massaging the Waiguan acupoint, apply slightly more pressure and stop when there is a slight soreness or tingling sensation at the acupoint. This can provide good stimulation and achieve the desired effect of stomach nourishment.

3. Zusanli Acupoint

Located about three inches below the outer side of the knee, the Zusanli acupoint is an important point on the Foot Yangming Stomach meridian. Regular massage of this acupoint can effectively dredge the stomach meridian and promote digestion. It has excellent nourishing and regulating effects on the stomach.

Around 9 o'clock in the morning is the period when the stomach meridian is most active. Massaging the Zusanli acupoint during this time can have a multiplier effect and better promote gastrointestinal peristalsis, accelerate the consumption of body fat, and achieve certain weight loss and body shaping effects.

[Stomach-nourishing foods]

1. Cabbage

Cabbage is known as a natural stomach-friendly vegetable, mainly due to its content of vitamin K and vitamin U, which have anti-ulcer factors that can protect and repair the gastric mucosa, keeping the stomach cells active and reducing the chance of lesions.

2. Chinese Yam

Chinese medicine has always regarded Chinese yam as the best food for nourishing the spleen and stomach. When cutting Chinese yam, you will find a sticky substance called mucin. It is a mixture of polysaccharides and proteins that has special health benefits, protects the gastric wall, and promotes appetite.

3. Milk

"Drinking one jin of milk every day strengthens Chinese people" is a slogan that has led many people to drink milk. Milk not only provides calcium but also has excellent stomach-nourishing effects.
