Massage these acupoints to alleviate cold hands and feet

With the weather getting colder, many people start experiencing the problem of cold hands and feet. So what can you do to relieve cold hands and feet? Try massaging these acupoints.

In autumn and winter, many people feel that their hands and feet are cold and rely on hand warmers to keep them warm. Some people even have trouble falling asleep because of cold hands and feet. So what causes cold hands and feet? How can you improve this condition? In addition to dietary therapy and foot baths, you can also try simple daily massages on the following acupoints.

1. Yongquan acupoint

Located on the sole of the foot, massaging the Yongquan acupoint until it feels warm is recommended. Rub the Yongquan acupoint 100 times in the morning and evening, then rub each toe 100 times.

2. Laogong acupoint

Located on the palm, use the joints of the other hand to rub the Laogong acupoint until the palm feels slightly warm, then switch hands and alternate between the two.

3. Shenyu acupoint

Located on the lower back, about 1.5 inches away from the second lumbar spinous process, tap the Shenyu acupoint with some force about 100 times per day.

4. Qichong acupoint

Located on the inner side of the thigh, just below the root of the thigh, there is a pulsating artery below this acupoint. Massage the Qichong acupoint first, then massage the artery, alternating between loosening and pressing. Continue massaging until you feel a warm sensation flowing down your legs and feet.

5. Zusanli acupoint

Located on the outer side of the lower leg, just below the outer knee, press the Zusanli acupoint with your middle finger where the shinbone is. You can tap or press this acupoint about 100 times per day to help dilate the capillaries in your hands and feet, promote blood circulation, and improve the symptoms of cold hands and feet.

In addition to these massages, it is important to keep warm, soak your feet daily, pay attention to foot care before sleep, and consume warm foods such as ginger and honey tea. Remember to avoid eating cold fruits and wear clothing that is not too tight to ensure good blood circulation. By following these tips, you can effectively alleviate the problem of cold hands and feet during the colder seasons.
