Kidney massage therapy has the functions of nourishing the kidneys and strengthening Yang, enhancing brain function, strengthening bones and muscles, and promoting growth and development. Methods: ① Rub the lower abdomen. Rub the palms together to generate heat, then rub the area 3 inches below the navel for 3-5 minutes. ② Rub the waist area. Rub the palms together to generate heat, then rub the area on the back near the waist for 3-5 minutes. ③ Massage the spine. First, press the various acupoints along the Governing Vessel on the back, with a focus on the Mingmen and Shenzhu points, then use the palms to push (from bottom to top); at the points 0.5 inches away from the spine on both sides, place the middle and index fingers on both sides of the spine and push upwards until reaching the Dazhui point; along the first side line of the Bladder Meridian on the back, first press and knead the Liver Shu, Spleen Shu, Kidney Shu and other points, then use the fingers or palms to push upwards to the side of the Dazhui point. ④ Rub the lumbar and sacral regions. Rub the palms or the edge of the hand on the lumbar and sacral regions until they feel warm. ⑤ Massage the lower limbs. Along the Kidney Meridian, massage the inside of the lower leg from Taixi to Yingu for 1-3 minutes; along the Stomach Meridian, massage the front outside of the lower leg for 1-3 minutes. ⑥ Massage the Zusanli acupoint. Use the thumb to massage the Zusanli acupoint (3 inches below the knee, on the outside of the tibia) for 1-3 minutes. ⑦ Massage the Baihui acupoint. Use the fingers to massage the Baihui acupoint at the top of the head for 1 minute. ⑧ Rub the Yongquan acupoint. Use the thumb to rub the Yongquan acupoint, the depressed point on the front and center of the sole, until it feels warm.
