Rub Hands
Sit or stand, and rub your palms together quickly until they feel warm. Rubbing your hands like this regularly can promote blood circulation and metabolism, and prevent colds.
Press Ying Xiang Acupoint
First, rub the sides of your nose with the middle fingers of both hands several times. Then, use the tip of your middle finger to press on the Ying Xiang acupoint, which is the depression on both sides of the nostrils. Press the acupoint firmly until it feels sore, and then gently knead it several times. After pressing, you should feel that your nose is clear and unblocked.
Rub Da Zhui Acupoint
Use the index and middle fingers of one hand to press on the Da Zhui acupoint. This acupoint is located in the middle of the back of the neck, just below a larger bone protrusion, which is the lower edge of the seventh cervical vertebrae spinous process. Press firmly and knead the acupoint 100-200 times. During the kneading process, you can use both hands alternately.
Press Zu San Li Acupoint
Use the index and middle fingers of one hand to firmly press on the Zu San Li acupoint on the same side. There is a protruding bone called the head of the fibula on the upper outer part of the calf. The Zu San Li acupoint is located about three fingers' width below this bone protrusion. First, press on the acupoint with force until it feels sore, and then slowly knead it several times with your fingers. Then, use the other hand to press and knead the Zu San Li acupoint on the other side.
Press Feng Chi Acupoint
Use the middle fingers of both hands to press on the Feng Chi acupoint. The Feng Chi acupoint is located on the lower edge of the occipital bone at the back of the neck, about two fingers' width away from the back of the ears. First, press firmly on the acupoint until it feels sore, and then knead it several times with your fingers.
Hold Jian Jing Acupoint
Use the thumb, index, and middle fingers of one hand, with the thumb in front and the index and middle fingers behind, to hold the Jian Jing acupoint. The Jian Jing acupoint is located in the middle of the neck to the shoulder, where the muscles are relatively abundant. Holding the Jian Jing acupoint will feel sore and swollen. Hold and lift it several times. Hold the Jian Jing acupoints on both sides with both hands.
Rub Neck
Use the palms of both hands to rub the sides of the neck, with the emphasis on the palm side of the fingers. Rub back and forth quickly, with more force when rubbing forward. Repeat this motion several tens of times until the skin feels warm.
Rub Face
Rub both sides of the face with the warm palms of your hands, first rubbing up and down, then rotating. Repeat this motion several tens of times until the face feels warm.
Pat Chest and Back
Finally, alternate tapping the chest and back with both hands, one in front and one behind, several tens of times.
