The massage therapy of spleen has the effects of strengthening the spleen and kidneys, promoting digestion, increasing appetite, nourishing blood and beauty, and improving muscle fitness. It can also prevent and treat stomach diseases, replenish qi and blood, and resist aging. The methods are as follows:
- Rubbing the abdomen and kneading the navel: Use the palm to rub the abdomen, focusing on the area around the navel (4 inches above the navel), for a total of 5-10 minutes.
- Pressing the stomach: Along the middle line of the abdomen, 2 inches away from the stomach meridian, press and lift with three fingers several times on one side and then on the other side.
- Pinching the spine: Pinch and lift the skin several times from the tailbone to the cervical vertebrae, with a focus on the acupoints of spleen Shu, stomach Shu, and kidney Shu.
- Rubbing the lower limbs: Rub and massage along the stomach meridian on the outer side of the lower leg, with a focus on the acupoints of Zu San Li and Shang Ju Xu, on both sides.
- Rubbing the calf: Use both hands to rub the back of the calf muscles 10 times.
- Rubbing Gong Sun and San Yin Jiao: Use the thumb to rub the inner side of the foot, the base of the first metatarsal bone on the lower front edge, and the intersection of the red and white flesh; 3 inches above the inner ankle, on the posterior edge of the tibia, the acupoint of San Yin Jiao, each for 1 minute.
