He Gu
[Location] Located between the first and second metacarpal bones on the back of the hand, approximately at the midpoint of the second metacarpal bone; when locating the acupoint, place the transverse lines of the thumb joint bone on the interdigital webbing between the index fingers of the other hand, and the acupoint is taken just below the tip of the thumb.
[Function] Dispels wind and clears heat, promotes meridian circulation, moisturizes the face and enhances facial complexion, effective for disorders of the head, face, and facial features, acne, urticaria, and rubella.
[Method] Directly needle 0.5-1 inch, can also be used for moxibustion.
Qu Chi
[Location] Located at the midpoint between the outer end of the elbow transverse lines and the outer condyle of the humerus; when locating the acupoint, flex the elbow at a right angle, and the acupoint is taken at the depression on the radial side of the elbow transverse lines.
[Function] Expels wind and releases the surface, harmonizes the nutrient and defensive qi, eliminates rashes and relieves itching, can be used for eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, urticaria, and acne.
[Method] Directly needle 0.8-1.5 inches, can also be used for moxibustion. For the treatment of urticaria, it is more effective when combined with Zu San Li, Ge Shu, and Xue Hai.
Zu San Li
[Location] Located 3 inches below the lower edge of the calf's nose, 1 horizontal finger width from the anterior crest of the tibia; when locating the acupoint, sit or lie down with the knees flexed, take the acupoint 3 inches below the lower edge of the calf's nose, about 1 horizontal finger width from the anterior crest of the tibia, on the anterior muscle of the tibia.
[Function] Strengthens the spleen and stomach, regulates and nourishes Qi and blood, enhances physical appearance and beauty, has good therapeutic effects on weakness, emaciation, facial wrinkles, sallow complexion, and acne.
[Method] Directly needle 0.5-2 inches, can also be used for moxibustion. If combined with Qu Chi, it can treat urticaria.
Xue Hai
[Location] Located 6-7 millimeters above the upper edge of the patella; when locating the acupoint, the patient flexes the knee, the practitioner presses with the palm of the left hand on the upper edge of the patella, extending upward, the tip of the thumb is placed at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, and the acupoint is just below the thumb.
[Function] Harmonizes Qi and blood, dispels wind and dampness, suitable for eczema, urticaria, butterfly rash, vitiligo, and facial pigmentation.
[Method] Can be directly needled 0.8-1.5 inches, can also be used for moxibustion.
San Yin Jiao
[Location] Located 3 inches above the highest point of the inner ankle, on the posterior border of the tibia; when locating the acupoint, sit or lie down, go straight down 3 inches from the tip of the inner ankle, and take the acupoint on the posterior border of the tibia.
[Function] Strengthens the spleen, transforms dampness, regulates the liver, and benefits the kidneys, effective for infertility, acne, hair loss, seborrheic dermatitis, and melanosis.
[Method] Directly needle 1-1.5 inches, can also be used for moxibustion.
