Want to help your child grow taller? In addition to providing them with a nutritious diet and encouraging exercise, many parents are unaware that they should also massage certain key acupoints to promote the flow of energy and nourishment throughout the body. Massage not only promotes metabolism and bone development, but it is also simple and easy to do, making it more acceptable for children.
Rub the abdomen
Gently rub your child's abdomen in a clockwise direction for 1 minute, and then in a counterclockwise direction for 1 minute. This can regulate the spleen and stomach and nourish the energy and blood.
Pinch the spine
Have your child lie face down with their back exposed. Apply some talcum powder to their back. Use the middle, ring, and little fingers of both hands to form a half-fist shape, with the index fingers slightly bent and the thumbs extended, aligning with the front half of the index fingers. Press against the child's skin, move the thumbs and index fingers forward, lift and pinch the skin, and twist upward, simultaneously pushing with both hands from the sides of the spine (on both sides of the vertebral column) towards the sides of the cervical vertebrae (the prominent position at the back of the neck). Do this 3-5 times every night. This is beneficial for regulating the child's digestive system and enhancing resistance. However, parents must practice seriously in order to achieve accurate and proficient operation. It should be noted that if the child's back skin has any disorders, this method should not be used.
Rub the spine
Use the palms of your hands to rub your child's spine from bottom to top 5-7 times. This can invigorate yang energy.
Press the Baihui acupoint
The Baihui acupoint is located at the center of the head, at the intersection point between the line connecting the two earlobes and the line extending from the center of the eyebrows towards the back. Massage the Baihui acupoint on your child 20-50 times every day. This can invigorate yang energy, support righteousness, and clear the head.
Push the San Guan acupoint
The San Guan acupoint is located on the inside of the forearm, between the wrist crease and the elbow crease. Use your index and middle fingers to push from the wrist crease to the elbow crease 100-300 times. This can regulate the spleen and stomach.
Grasp the San Yang and San Yin meridians
The outside of the arms and legs correspond to the San Yang meridians, while the inside corresponds to the San Yin meridians. "Grasp" is a massage technique that involves pinching with the hands. Pinch the San Yang meridians from top to bottom, and the San Yin meridians from bottom to top, doing this 3-5 times each day.
Rub the Yongquan acupoint
The Yongquan acupoint is located on the sole of the foot. Rub it 30-50 times every day to nourish the kidneys and strengthen the bones.
