Head massage therapy can promote blood circulation in the brain, and has the effects of refreshing the mind, improving vision, preventing dizziness and hair loss, calming and soothing, enhancing memory, and preventing brain aging. It can also prevent and treat hypertension and other conditions. The methods are as follows:
- Rubbing Yintang and Shenting: Use the index finger or middle finger to rub the Yintang point in the middle of the forehead, and then rub the Shenting point 0.5 inch above the middle of the front hairline for 1 minute each.
- Massaging the forehead: First, use the fingers to push upwards from the Yintang point to the Shenting point, and then push from the Yintang point upwards along the midline of the forehead to the sides, 1 minute each.
- Pressing and rubbing the temples: After pushing the forehead, stop at the temples and massage both sides at the same time for 1 minute.
- Rubbing the sides of the head: After massaging the temples, use the index, middle, and ring fingers to rub both sides of the temples, first upwards, then around to the back of the ears, and massage the mastoid process for 1 minute.
- Rubbing Baihui: Use the fingers to rub the Baihui point on the top of the head (the intersection point of the midline of the forehead and the line connecting the two earlobes) for 1 minute.
- Massaging the head: Use three fingers to massage along the midline of the head, from the front hairline to the back hairline, for 1 minute.
- Rubbing the occiput: Use three fingers to rub the lower border of the occiput for 1 minute.
