Key Acupoints
Tiantu acupoint, Neiguan acupoint, Lieque acupoint, Quchi acupoint.
Tiantu acupoint is located in the neck, in the middle of the anterior midline of the suprasternal fossa. Neiguan acupoint is located in the palmar side of the forearm, on the line connecting Quze and Daling, 2 inches above the transverse wrist crease, between the tendon of the long flexor muscle of the thumb and the tendon of the radial side wrist flexor muscle. Lieque acupoint is located on the radial side edge of the forearm, above the styloid process of the radius, 1.5 inches above the transverse wrist crease, between the brachioradialis muscle and the long extensor muscle of the thumb. Quchi acupoint is located on the outer end of the transverse crease of the elbow, with the elbow flexed, at the midpoint of the line connecting the Tianze and the radial head.
These 4 acupoints are key acupoints used in massage therapy for acute asthma attacks. By using rubbing method and combining with medication, they can effectively relieve the wheezing during asthma attacks. During the remission period of asthma, these four acupoints can also be used for strengthening the body and preventing asthma attacks.

Spleen Yu acupoint, Lung Yu acupoint, Dingchuan acupoint.
Spleen Yu acupoint is located on the back, 1.5 inches below the spinous process of the 11th thoracic vertebrae. Lung Yu acupoint is located on the back, 1.5 inches below the spinous process of the 3rd thoracic vertebrae. Dingchuan acupoint is located on the back, 0.5 inches beside the depression below the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebrae.
These 3 acupoints are key acupoints used in the treatment of asthma during the remission period of the bladder meridian on the back. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the root cause of asthma lies in the word "phlegm", and resolving phlegm is the core of treating asthma. The generation of phlegm is closely related to the lungs and spleen. Rubbing the Spleen Yu acupoint and Lung Yu acupoint is the preferred method of tonifying the spleen and lungs, and when combined with Dingchuan acupoint, the effect is very good.
Chest Acupoints
Zhongfu acupoint, Yunmen acupoint.
Zhongfu acupoint is located on the lateral side of the chest, 1 inch below Yunmen acupoint, at the 6th inch from the anterior midline. Yunmen acupoint is located on the lateral side of the chest, above the acromion process of the scapula, in the depression below the clavicle, 6 inches from the anterior midline.
Use the palm of your hand to rub the chest, shoulders, and sides 20-30 times, until there is a slight warm sensation. Afterwards, use the Yunmen acupoint and Zhongfu acupoint on the chest and shoulders. These two acupoints are excellent for treating wheezing.
