Astragalus Red Date Tea: A Nourishing and Healthy Beverage

Red dates and astragalus are both excellent choices for health preservation, and there is even a legend that says "if you want good skin, cook porridge with red dates". In fact, red dates can not only be used for cooking porridge, they can be eaten with many other things, such as astragalus, to make astragalus red date tea.

Ingredients:

15g astragalus, 4 red dates, appropriate amount of water


 

Instructions:

1. Soak the red dates in warm water, wash and remove the pits;

2. Soak the red dates and astragalus in an appropriate amount of water for 20-30 minutes, the amount of water used should be the same as that used for making tea, soaking is done to extract the medicinal properties;

3. After soaking, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for about 20 minutes before drinking.

1. Astragalus is a good medicine for nourishing Qi and promoting diuresis, but not everyone can take it;

2. Eating red dates in spring can effectively nourish and protect the liver;

Notes for Drinking Astragalus Red Date Tea:

1. Astragalus should not be taken by those with excess pathogenic factors in the exterior, qi stagnation and dampness obstruction, stagnant food accumulation, initial or post-rupture heat toxins, as well as those with yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity.

2. Eating too many red dates may cause bloating, so it is not suitable for those with heavy dampness and heat and yellow tongue coating.

3. Not suitable for those with excessive sweating caused by a cold.
