Combining Maidong: Methods for Nourishing Yin and Moisturizing Dryness

Maidong is a commonly used herb for nourishing yin and moisturizing dryness. It can also be used as a health food ingredient for consumption, such as steeping in water or cooking in soup. 1. Maidong + Huangqi

Ingredients: 9g of Maidong, 9g of Huangqi, 10g each of Dangshen, Yuzhu, and Huangjing.

Method: Decoction, take 1 dose daily.

Efficacy: It is effective for those with insufficient stomach yin and can treat chronic gastritis.

2. Maidong + Renshen

Ingredients: 10g of Maidong, 10g of Renshen, 6g of Wuweizi.

Method: Decoction, take 2 doses daily.

Efficacy: It is effective for excessive sweating, palpitations, low blood pressure, excessive sweating and thirst, fatigue and weakness, and is mainly used to treat heat-induced sweating and collapse.


3. Maidong + Jinyinhua tea

Ingredients: Maidong and Jinyinhua in appropriate amounts.

Method: Wash Maidong, Jinyinhua, and Gancao, put them in a cup, pour in boiling water, add an appropriate amount of rock sugar, and simmer for 5 minutes.

Efficacy: Nourishes yin and moisturizes dryness, has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, relieves throat pain, and prevents oral inflammation.

4. Maidong + Gancao

Ingredients: 45g of Maidong, 10g of Gancao.

Method: Decoction with water to make 30-40ml, take it in divided doses, and take it continuously for 3-18 months.

Indications: It has a certain effect on relieving angina and chest tightness, and is used to treat angina pectoris in coronary heart disease.
