I. "Taiping Huimin Heji Ju Fang" : Bull Gallstone Golden Tiger Pill
[Prescription]
Tian Xiong (processed, peeled, navel) 12 and a half taels, white alum (dried), Indian yellow (ground), Arisaema erubescens (soaked, baked, ground, made into cakes with ox bile, and baked until hot; if no ox bile is available, steam with wine for seven days and nights), talcum powder (ground), 25 taels each. Bull gallstone (ground) 2 and a half taels, borneol (ground) 5 taels, gold foil 800 pieces (as clothing), realgar (ground and sifted) 150 taels.
[Processing]
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with honey, and make ten pills out of each one and a half taels, with gold foil as the coating.
[Indications]
Used for treating acute stroke, stiff back, locked jaw, spasms, blackened face due to nasal dryness, whole body fever, oily sweating, bulging eyes and blue lips, confusion, drunken appearance, phlegm obstruction, chest and throat making a sound like sawing.
[Dosage]
Take one pill per dose, dissolve it in fresh water, and administer it while sitting upright to aid in absorption. After a while, crush another pill and dissolve it in natural peppermint juice, and administer it immediately for instant relief.
For people with weak constitution, excessive saliva and wind, it is advisable to carry this medicine with them at all times for emergencies. If sudden darkening of vision, chest discomfort, excessive saliva, and inability to take the medicine, chew one pill and swallow it with fresh water.
For children with acute convulsions, one-year-old children can take one pill the size of a mung bean, dissolved in natural peppermint juice. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age as needed.
