The Dos and Don'ts of Drinking Tea for a Healthy Body in Summer

November 28, 2023

In summer, the temperature is high and the body loses a lot of moisture. If you have fragrant tea at hand, it can not only relieve thirst but also replenish water for the body. However, drinking tea also requires scientific principles, otherwise it can be harmful rather than beneficial to the body.

Firstly, do not drink tea immediately after a meal. According to nutritionists' analysis and research, drinking tea after a meal can lead to insufficient iron in the body.

Secondly, it is not advisable to drink tea before going to bed. The caffeine in tea can stimulate the cerebral cortex, and drinking tea before bedtime can cause frequent urination and insomnia.

Thirdly, do not use "boiling water" to brew tea.

Fourthly, do not drink tea that is too hot. Water with high temperature can cause scalding and congestion in the oral cavity, throat, esophagus, and stomach mucosa. Over time, it can lead to inflammation. Modern medicine believes that inflammation often leads to cancerous changes.
