April 15, 2024

Guasha is a type of external treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. Nowadays, many people choose it as a means of health preservation, and some people use guasha for beauty and skincare. Today, let's talk about the health benefits of guasha. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners believe that guasha can treat tinnitus and improve suboptimal health conditions. Let's hear what the experienced TCM doctor has to say about it!

The symptoms of tinnitus mainly manifest as frequent or intermittent perceived ringing in the ears, with various tones. Some may sound like cicadas, some like surging waves, and some like thunder. In short, it is extremely uncomfortable.

The ringing may be brief or intermittent, or it may persist. Tinnitus often affects hearing, but in the early stages or when caused by neurosis or systemic diseases, it may not affect hearing. Hearing loss is characterized by a decrease in hearing or complete loss. Depending on the cause, there are cases where hearing gradually declines to complete deafness, sudden deafness, bilateral deafness, and unilateral deafness. Neurological tinnitus, neurogenic deafness, and otitis media can all be treated with guasha.
