Menstrual cramps are basically an experience that every woman has, and then there are women who have menstrual cramps and do not get their periods, whether you are having them or not, or have had a similar phenomenon, perhaps you are not sure why you have menstrual cramps and do not get your period. Here is the main to introduce you to the causes of menstrual pain without menstruation.

What is dysmenorrhea?

Dysmenorrhea is a small pain in the lower back, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, cold sweat, and cold hands and feet before and after menstruation. Generally speaking, it is a normal physiological phenomenon for women, but a few women have pathological dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is a common and frequent disease in gynecology, usually manifested as cyclic lower abdominal distension, cold pain, burning pain, stabbing pain, hidden pain, cramping pain, etc. It may also be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as breast swelling, anal pain, chest tightness and irritability.

Normal Physiological Phenomenon

Most people will have menstrual cramps about a week before their menstrual period. If you have not reached the normal time of menstruation after accounting for the days, even menstrual cramps are normal physiological phenomena at this time; if you have menstrual cramps at the time of menstruation and do not have a period, a delay of 7 days or less is also normal.

Pregnancy-related abdominal pain

If you feel menstrual cramps and have not yet had your period, and you have had intercourse before, you may suspect the possibility of pregnancy, and it is recommended that you first use a pregnancy test to detect whether you are pregnant. You may also think of abdominal pain as a symptom of menstrual cramps when you are not aware of your pregnancy. This kind of abdominal pain in early pregnancy is a normal physiological phenomenon, and it is generally not necessary to worry about it, but it is recommended to go to the hospital for an early pregnancy test.

Menopause syndrome

If a woman around 50 years old has menstrual pain without menstruation, it can also be considered to be due to menopausal factors. When a woman enters menopause, her ovarian function starts to decline and her endocrine secretion becomes dysfunctional, thus leading to menstrual disorders and possibly dysmenorrhea without menstruation.

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

PMS is a syndrome that occurs repeatedly before menstruation and involves both physical and mental symptoms, in which feeling "dysmenorrhea" before menstruation is a manifestation of PMS. This syndrome is usually experienced 7-14 days before menstruation and gradually disappears with the onset of menstruation and does not require any treatment. If you have this phenomenon, you can pay attention to avoid unnecessary mental stimulation, develop good habits and reduce the intake of sodium.

Other factors

In addition to the above-mentioned physiological or pathological factors that cause dysmenorrhea without menstruation, there may be some cold food, cold and warm food, spicy and stimulating food before menstruation, which may lead to cold and stagnation of qi and blood, disorder of menstruation, and dysmenorrhea without menstruation.
