The time of plum rains by region

Although the plum rain is a unique weather climate in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, its appearance is not isolated, but is closely linked to the north-south displacement of a wide range of rainbands. From mid-May to early June, the main rainbands swing in the eastern part of China east of 110E in the Nanling Mountains and south of the Nanling Ridge. after mid-June, the areas south of the Nanling Ridge are already outside the rainbands and the rainy weather ends. In mid to late June, the main rain band moves north to the range of 29N-33N (i.e. from Yichang in China in the west, east through the mouth of the Yangtze River and then across the sea to Japan; from the two lake plains in China in the south to the south bank of the Huai River in the north), stable and less moving. Starting from mid-June, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China bid farewell to the windy and sunny early summer and ushered in a rainy season with heavy and torrential rains appearing from time to time and lasting until early July, which is the famous plum rainy season in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
