Cholesterol is divided into good cholesterol and bad cholesterol, the former is scientifically known as high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), the latter is scientifically known as low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), medical cholesterol reduction generally refers to reduce the content of LDL harmful cholesterol, what are the foods to reduce cholesterol?

Olive Oil

Olive oil has a triple effect: it lowers the "bad" cholesterol, maintains or slightly increases the "good" cholesterol, and improves the ratio of both in the blood. In contrast, other oils such as corn oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil and safflower oil will not only lower "bad" cholesterol, but also lower "good" cholesterol. A low-fat diet will also lower both "good" cholesterol and "bad" cholesterol.

Beans

Nutritious, inexpensive beans have a water-soluble fiber called pectin, which surrounds cholesterol and flushes it out of the body before it kicks in. Men who ate 1½ cups of cooked beans a day reduced their cholesterol by 20 percent in just three weeks. A daily supplement of 6 mg of soluble fiber is within the reach of most people. All of these beans have the ability to lower cholesterol.

Fruits

The pectin of grapefruit (found in the skin and pulp) reduces cholesterol by an average of 7.6% in eight weeks. Since every 1% reduction in cholesterol is a 2% reduction in heart disease, you must eat about 2 1/2 cups of sliced grapefruit per person. If it is not easy to swallow, you can eat more different kinds of fruits. For example, eat half a grape sleeve for breakfast, an apple for lunch, and some sliced oranges for dinner to effectively lower your cholesterol.

Oats

The main cholesterol-destroying substance in oats is called p-polydextrose, which is a soluble dipping fiber that gels in the intestinal tract. It hinders the production and absorption of cholesterol, making the blood more purified.

Corn bran

Corn bran has the same cholesterol-lowering effect as oatmeal and beans. Those who have high cholestrol and try to control the situation with low steroid diet and weight reduction, eat I tablespoon of corn bran per meal (mixed with vegetable soup or juice), after 12 weeks, found that significantly reduce 20% cholesterol.

Carrot

Carrots can also lower cholesterol because they contain pectin. Eating two carrots a day may lower cholesterol by 10% to 20% in patients with high cholesterol. This is enough to restore a safe cholesterol level for many people.

Garlic juice

Consuming large amounts of raw garlic can reduce harmful blood fats. However, eating garlic can leave bad breath. Furthermore, garlic that has been deodorized by heat treatment loses its cholesterol-lowering effect.
