What to pay attention to after the IUD is the concern of many women, only the understanding of these common sense life, can effectively avoid the occurrence of many diseases, after the IUD precautions are mainly the following points.

Pay attention to rest and recuperation

After IUI, pay attention to rest and avoid physical work. Generally speaking, at least two days of rest, a week of physical activity or excessive exertion, to avoid causing the IUD to fall off or prolong uterine bleeding.

Keep your vulva clean

The endometrium of the uterus will be traumatized during the IUD. Do not keep the vulva hygienic. Wash your vulva with warm water every day, change your underwear and sanitary napkins regularly, and do not take a sitz bath or tub bath for 2 weeks to avoid infection.

Pay attention to the details of life

Don't be sexually promiscuous after getting an IUD; don't take vaginal douche if the contraceptive ring has a tail; don't wear chemical fiber underwear; don't use unqualified sanitary products; don't use other people's used bathing basin, towel, etc.; actively treat vaginal inflammation such as vulvar itching and vaginal itching if it occurs.

Prohibition of sexual life

Sexual intercourse is prohibited for two weeks after IUI to avoid male germs from being brought into the vagina or uterus, which may induce gynecological inflammation, such as cervicitis, vaginitis and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Observe the bleeding situation

A small amount of short-term bleeding is normal. If you find that the bleeding is prolonged (more than 3 days) and the amount of bleeding exceeds the normal amount of menstruation, you need to go to the hospital immediately for treatment.

Regular checkups

The first examination is on the 3rd day after the first menstrual period after the IUD is released, the second examination is within 3-6 months after the IUD is released, the third examination is around the 12th month after the IUD is released, and the subsequent examination is once a year. The purpose is to observe whether the IUD has deformed, fallen or shifted, and to prevent the IUD from failing or damaging other organs.

Observe whether there is abdominal pain

If there are symptoms such as abdominal pain, waist and knee pain, and significantly increased menstrual flow after IUD placement, it may be due to inappropriate IUD size, IUD displacement, or descent. Patients should immediately go to the hospital for examination and treatment, and if necessary, the IUD needs to be removed and reapplied.

Pay attention to nutrition after IUD

Nutritional supplements are also very important after IUD. After IUD, there will be bleeding for a period of time, so you can eat some blood-supplementing foods, such as: pig liver, black beans, red dates, etc.; moderate amount of high-protein foods (beans, eggs, etc.) will help speed up the repair of tissue cells.
