Principles for Optimal Exercise and Nutrition: A Guide to Achieving Fitness Goals

December 16, 2023

    First principle:

Do not eat before or during exercise. Most people believe that it is not advisable to eat before exercise, but experts believe that it cannot be generalized. If the body feels the need, it is okay to eat something appropriately. In addition, during exercise, the body's blood circulation increases and water is consumed excessively, causing thirst and heat. It is recommended to replenish water appropriately, but avoid excessive drinking.

    Second principle:

People who exercise regularly should consume more protein. The body's need for protein is not directly proportional to the level of activity. In fact, the most crucial role of protein is to provide essential chemicals for the body. The protein needed for an athlete to ski for tens of kilometers is not more than that needed by a person at rest. Most of the protein needed by people usually comes from meat and dairy products such as beef and lamb, so there is no need to consume excessive amounts.

    Third principle:

Consuming more nutritional supplements is beneficial for improving fitness effects. In reality, for most healthy adults, supplements are not necessary at all. The dozens of nutrients needed to maintain a healthy body can only be obtained from the various foods consumed daily. Consuming excessive nutritional supplements can cause imbalances in nutrition and harm health.
