Exercising in the Evening: Best Options for Weight Loss and Relaxation

October 31, 2023

For today's office workers, the evening is the best time for exercise, so many people have the habit of exercising after dinner to relax. So what kind of exercise is good to do in the evening?

Walking backwards

Walking backwards consumes more oxygen and increases heart rate compared to normal walking. When walking backwards, the shoulders and arms should swing in coordination with the walking frequency, which effectively exercises all the joints in the body. Walking backwards can also strengthen the muscles in the back of the thighs and the lower back, thus achieving weight loss.

Sit-ups

One hour after dinner, we can try doing sit-ups to exercise the strength of the abdomen and waist, quickly eliminating excess fat in these areas.

Hula hooping

During the process of hula hooping, the hula hoop continuously rubs against the lower abdomen, which can accelerate intestinal peristalsis and quickly eliminate waste accumulated in the body, solving the problem of constipation and achieving weight loss. Moreover, hula hooping for more than 30 minutes each time can burn more fat.

Night running

Between 7 PM and 2 AM, the hormones in the body react most intensely to exercise. Corticosteroids, which are related to fat metabolism, and thyroid-stimulating hormones, which are related to muscle repair, increase rapidly. Therefore, running at night can burn more fat. Before running, drinking a cup of green tea can replenish water. The catechins in green tea enter the body through blood circulation, enhance metabolism, increase fat oxidation and energy consumption, and have a certain inhibitory effect on abdominal fat.

Aerobic exercises

One hour after dinner, consistently doing 30 to 60 minutes of aerobic exercises can effectively promote metabolism and accelerate gastrointestinal peristalsis. This ensures that the food consumed in the evening is quickly metabolized and absorbed, and excess fat in the body is burned, resulting in weight loss.
