Caused by fasting hypoglycemia

Most practitioners practice on an empty stomach, and the exercise process will consume liver glycogen, so it is easy to cause low blood sugar caused by insufficient blood supply to the brain dizziness.

Caused by anemia

Iron is an important component of hemoglobin, which is responsible for transporting popular oxygen, so a lack of iron will cause a decrease in hemoglobin and dizziness.

Posture causes

In yoga, there are many head below the heart, head turning, twisting movements, in addition to some movements need to be combined with breath-holding, the movement is too fast, plus the breath-holding time is too long will easily cause the brain oxygen dizziness.

Caused by cervical spondylosis

1, long time spasmodic contraction of the neck muscles, blood circulation is affected, free lactic acid, 5-hydroxytryptamine, bradykinin and other pathogenic substances, and eventually cause dizziness and nausea. 2, cervical spondylosis directly stimulates, compresses or pulls the sensitive tissue of the head causing dizziness and nausea. 3, lesions stimulate, compress or damage the second and third pairs of cervical nerves and cause headache, dizziness and nausea symptoms. 4、Dizziness and nausea caused by direct involvement of the lesion in the pushing vein, resulting in insufficient blood supply to the vertebrobasilar artery system.

How to avoid dizziness when practicing yoga

Drink half a glass of honey water before practicing

If the dizziness is caused by fasting hypoglycemia, you can drink a small glass of honey water before practice. This will improve the dizziness caused by fasting hypoglycemia. If you don't want to drink water, it's okay to eat a banana, but you must not eat too much, otherwise it will easily cause gastrointestinal discomfort during exercise.

Do not change position too quickly

When doing yoga, the position change should not be too fast, especially the head movement, must be with breathing gentle and soft movement. Some difficult inversions can be done less or not. If you feel uncomfortable holding your breath, or if you feel dizzy, stop and rest.

Cervical spondylosis avoiding neck stress action

Many movements are not suitable for people with cervical spondylosis, especially those that require shoulder and neck stress, such as shoulder inversions, headstands, ploughs and so on. You can do some upward stretching movements, such as mountain pose, golden chicken independence, etc. Cervical spondylosis patients should practice yoga step by step, do not practice too difficult movements at the beginning, so as not to aggravate the disease.
